Frequently Asked Questions

Who?
You! PCNJ Out Bowling is open to everyone: gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and heterosexual. All bowlers must be 18 years of age and up. We’re a co-ed group and we have a “no butt-heads” policy. So, therefore, no butt-heads allowed. Everyone else is welcome!

What?
Teams
Each week, we assemble groups to bowl together. You can bowl with friends or make new ones!

Costs
The cost to participate is $15 per player/per week.  Players must pay upon checking in at the bowling alley. The League Directors will collect CASH payments each week. No pay/No play. No exceptions. For the Summer Trios League, captains are responsible for collecting their team’s payments each week, and then turning those in to the League Directors.

Subbing
Substitutions are permitted in the league. A substitute must be approved by league directors via email no later than 5pm on bowling night. League players are responsible for the payment for the week(s) missed. Substitutes may pay the League Directors when subbing and then later be reimbursed by the bowler who misses the games that evening).

Scoring
The scores are recorded on scoresheets. Captains will be responsible for recording their team’s scores after every game and then turning completed scoresheets in to League Directors at the end of each bowling night.

Where?
We will bowl at BOWLERO  (Carolier Lanes), 790 U.S. Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ.

Why?
Bowling is fun!  Meeting people is fun!

How?
Do I need to be good? No, you don’t need to be a power-bowler to participate. Beginners welcome. Experts welcome. Our league is handicapped which means that scoring is done on a curve to balance things out. You’ll be amazed at how good your score will be!

How old?
All participants must be over 18 years old. We have quite a range of ages! Everyone’s welcome!
